Fresh Herb Shmear

Customize this shmear by mixing and matching your favorite fresh herbs.

Makes ½ cup:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh flat leaf parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh tarragon
  • squirt of lemon juice
  • several grindings of black pepper

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.  Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate.
